The Otium Centre management includes individuals who are committed and passionate about what they do and with lots of experience, both personal and professional about caring and supporting adults with Special Needs or Learning Difficulties.
All aditional Support staff will be trained towards at least NVQ level 2 or above in Health & Social Care
NVQ Level 5 trained. Has two adult daughters with Cerebral Palsy, so knows what it takes. She has over 30 years experience both personally and professionally and has been active in residential holiday activities and is a shared-lives carer.
She has managed two Day Care facilities prior to the Otium Centre and has a wealth of passion, creativity, organisation and commitment to create the very best provision available.
Ivan is a shared-lives carer and a Duke of Edinburgh leader. He is NVQ level 3 trained and has over 30 years previous experience in care including day centre provision. From his past experience as a school IT technician, he has useful skills in IT and media work and will help those Members wanting to improve their media skills. He has built gardening projects and managed livestock and is keen to have active gardening and wildlife projects at the Centre. He is an excellent cook and will be supervising all the varied and quality meals at the centre. He is also a trained Archery Instructor and will be offering this exciting activity to the centre's Members
Retired from a background career in Biotechnology, he has many years of valuable business and management experience to help support all activities at the Centre. He is committed to creating the best day provision available and to offer the most varied and useful opportunities to all its members, whatever their ability
